RepTracker Support

Welcome to RepTracker! This guide will help you get the most out of your daily rep tracking.

---

Getting Started

When you first open RepTracker, you'll create your first exercise:

  1. Tap the + button to add an exercise

  2. Enter a name (e.g., "Pushups")

  3. Set your starting daily rep goal

  4. Optionally configure progression, weight tracking, and rest days

  5. Tap Save

Your exercise appears as a monthly calendar card on the main screen. Each day of the month is shown as a cell in a 7-column grid.

---

Logging Your Reps

Tap to Complete

Tap today's cell on any exercise card to mark it complete. You'll feel a subtle haptic tap when it's logged. The cell turns green with a checkmark to show you've hit your goal.

Long-Press to Edit

Long-press any past or current day to manually enter a specific rep count. This is useful if you did extra reps or need to correct a previous day.

Weight-Tracked Exercises

If an exercise has weight tracking enabled, tapping today's cell opens a sheet where you enter both your reps and weight for that session. Your last logged weight is pre-filled for convenience.

---

Progressive Goals

RepTracker automatically increases your daily goal over time to help you build strength progressively.

Default: +5 reps every 30 days

For example, if you start at 20 pushups/day:

  • Days 1–30: 20 reps/day

  • Days 31–60: 25 reps/day

  • Days 61–90: 30 reps/day

You can customize both the increment amount and interval per exercise when creating or editing it. Your historical logs always reflect what the goal was on that day — not your current goal.

---

Streaks

RepTracker tracks your current streak of consecutive days completing an exercise.

  • A streak appears as a flame icon (and count) on the exercise card when you've completed 2 or more days in a row

  • Rest days don't break your streak — they're simply skipped

  • If you log reps on a rest day, it counts as a bonus toward your streak

  • Missing an active day resets the streak to zero

Active Days

You can set which days of the week you want to be active for each exercise.

  1. Open an exercise and tap Edit

  2. Find the Active Days section

  3. Tap the day-of-week buttons (S M T W T F S) to toggle them on or off

Days that are toggled off are rest days. On rest days:

  • The day won't count against your streak if you skip it

  • Your progressive goal calculation uses active days, not calendar days

  • Daily reminders are not sent on days where all exercises are resting

If all days are selected, you have no rest days.

---

Weight Tracking

Track the weight you use for any exercise (e.g., dumbbell curls, weighted squats).

Enabling Weight Tracking

  1. Create or edit an exercise

  2. Toggle Enable weight tracking

  3. Set your starting weight, increase amount, and interval

How It Works

  • When weight tracking is on, tapping today's cell opens a sheet to log both reps and weight

  • Your weight goal increases automatically on the same progressive schedule as reps

  • A day is only marked complete when both your rep goal and weight goal are met

  • Weight values display below the rep count in each calendar cell

Switching Units

Go to Settings to switch between kg and lbs. All stored weights are automatically converted when you switch.

Widgets

RepTracker offers home screen and lock screen widgets so you can check progress and log reps without opening the app.

Home Screen Widgets

Available in small, medium, and large sizes:

  • Small: Shows up to 4 exercises with a completion badge. A single exercise displays a large progress ring.

  • Medium: Shows exercises in a list or grid layout with progress bars and a completion count.

  • Large: Shows up to 10 exercises with progress rings and status icons.

Tap any incomplete exercise in a widget to mark it complete instantly.

Lock Screen Widgets

  • Circular: Shows your completion count (e.g., 2/4)

  • Rectangular: Lists up to 3 exercises with checkmarks and rep counts

  • Inline: Simple text like "3/5 exercises done"

Adding a Widget

  1. Long-press your home screen or lock screen

  2. Tap the + button (top left)

  3. Search for RepTracker

  4. Choose a widget size and tap Add Widget

---

Archiving Exercises

If you want to stop tracking an exercise without deleting its history:

  1. Tap the exercise card to open its detail view

  2. Tap Archive

  3. Confirm in the alert

Archived exercises are hidden from your dashboard but all history is preserved.

Restoring an Archived Exercise

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Archived Exercises

  3. Tap Restore next to the exercise you want to bring back

---

Daily Reminders

Set a daily notification to remind you to log your reps.

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Toggle Daily Reminder on

  3. Choose your preferred reminder time

Reminders are automatically skipped on days where all your exercises are resting. If you complete all exercises before the reminder time, the notification is cancelled for that day.

---

iCloud Sync

Your exercises and logs sync automatically across all your devices signed into the same iCloud account. There's nothing to configure — it just works.

  • Data syncs in the background whenever a connection is available

  • The app works fully offline; changes sync when you're back online

  • If you edit on two devices simultaneously, the most recent change wins

---

FAQ

Can I change my rep goal after starting?

Yes. Tap an exercise, then tap Edit to adjust your base goal, progression amount, or interval at any time. Historical logs keep the goal that was active on each day.

Can I track exercises other than pushups?

Absolutely. Tap + to add any exercise — squats, pull-ups, sit-ups, or anything else with countable reps.

How do I delete an exercise?

Tap the exercise to open its detail view, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete. This permanently removes the exercise and all its history. If you just want to hide it, use Archive instead.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on your device and synced to iCloud if you're signed in. RepTracker does not send your data to any external servers.

Can I use RepTracker without iCloud?

Yes. The app works entirely offline. iCloud sync is automatic if available but not required.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find RepTracker and tap Cancel Subscription.

Do widgets count as logging?

Yes. Tapping an incomplete exercise in a widget marks it as complete for today, just like tapping it in the app.

Troubleshooting

My data isn't syncing between devices

  • Make sure both devices are signed into the same iCloud account

  • Check that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings > [your name] > iCloud

  • Give it a few minutes — sync isn't always instant

  • Try closing and reopening the app

My widget isn't updating

  • Widgets refresh on a system-managed schedule and may not update immediately

  • Try removing and re-adding the widget

  • Make sure RepTracker has not been offloaded (Settings > General > iPhone Storage)

My streak reset unexpectedly

  • Streaks only count days where you fully completed your goal (both reps and weight, if weight tracking is on)

  • Rest days are skipped and don't break streaks, but missing an active day does

  • Check if the day in question was an active day for that exercise

I subscribed but still see the limit

  • Go to Settings in RepTracker and tap Restore Purchases

  • Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the purchase
