W8Trackr Privacy Policy

Overview

W8Trackr (“the App”) is a weight tracking application developed by Will Saults. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information W8Trackr collects, how it’s used, and how it’s protected.

The short version: W8Trackr stores your data locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We don’t collect, access, or sell your personal information. We have no servers, no analytics, and no advertising.

Information You Provide

When you use W8Trackr, you may enter the following information:

  • Weight measurements (in pounds or kilograms)

  • Body fat percentage (optional)

  • Notes associated with weight entries (optional)

  • Date and time of each entry

  • Goal weight preference

  • App preferences (measurement units, reminder settings)

How Your Data Is Stored

On-Device Storage

All your weight data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data remains on your device and under your control.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled for W8Trackr, your data automatically syncs across your Apple devices using Apple’s CloudKit service. This sync:

  • Uses your personal iCloud account

  • Is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple

  • Is not accessible to us or any third party

  • Can be disabled in your device’s iCloud settings

Apple Health Integration

W8Trackr can optionally sync weight data with Apple Health. When enabled:

  • Weight entries you create in W8Trackr can be saved to Apple Health

  • Weight data from other apps and devices in Apple Health can be imported into W8Trackr

  • This integration requires your explicit permission

  • You can revoke access at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access

Information We Do NOT Collect

W8Trackr does not:

  • Collect any personal information

  • Use analytics or tracking services

  • Display advertisements

  • Require account creation

  • Send your data to external servers

  • Share your information with third parties

  • Access your data in any way

We have no servers. We cannot see your weight data, your notes, or any other information you enter into the app.

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

  • Device encryption: Data stored on your device is protected by iOS encryption

  • iCloud encryption: Data synced via iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest

  • Apple Health protection: HealthKit data is encrypted and protected by iOS

Children’s Privacy

W8Trackr does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Parents should supervise children’s use of any health tracking application.

Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete entries: Remove any weight entry within the app

  • Delete all data: Use the “Delete All Weight Entries” option in Settings

  • Disable iCloud sync: Turn off iCloud for W8Trackr in your device settings

  • Revoke Health access: Manage W8Trackr’s access in Settings > Health > Data Access

  • Delete the app: Removing the app deletes all local data; iCloud data can be managed through iCloud settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
